TILLEGRA DAM

TILLEGRA VALLEY COMMUNITY Hunter Water will: –Work closely with affected landholders and lessees –Negotiate purchase and relocation options, including timing –Establish local Community Reference Group –Make available senior management resource to undertake communication/consultation.

FUNDING OF TILLEGRA DAM $300 million project –Charges for new development Typically around $1000/new lot within Hunter –Increase in charges to existing customers –Commercial arrangements to be negotiated between Hunter & Central Coast. Prices will not change until mid 2009

IMPROVED LINKS TO THE CENTRAL COAST Installation of an additional four pumps at Balickera Water Pump Station 7 kilometres of additional pipework –Results in increased linkage of two water grids

Installation of an additional four pumps at Balickera Water Pump Station 7 kilometres of additional pipework –Results in increased linkage of two water grids North Stockton/Tomago Groundwater Reserves –Planning, environmental assessment and concept approval to access groundwater.

FUNDING – HUNTER – CENTRAL COAST LINK $17M package –$7MAdditional pumps –$9MPipeline link –$1MInvestigations Cost split between Hunter Water and Central Coast Hunter Water’s share of funding will be recovered through sales to Central Coast.
