Presentation Basics To create your presentation: Research your content Identify your audience Choose a design Write appropriate text Add appropriate graphics and animation

Slide Design - Animation Use a consistent animation for text and graphics To emphasize a point, change the animation, but do so sparingly

Slide Design - Template A design template provides unity for your presentation Use a Microsoft-supplied template for most presentations Customize a template for a unique presentation

Slide Design - Layout Vary slide layout to build audience interest Use 2 to 4 layouts in a presentation

Slide Design - Bullets Use 2 to 6 bullets per page Make bulleted text short and interesting Bullets remind the presenter what to explain in detail

Slide Design - Text Use big fonts Body text level 1 – size 36 to 44 –Body text level 2 – size 28 to 32 Body text level 3 –Size 28 –Body text level 4 – Size should be the minimum size
