Rhino Project Term 2

First project  For the first project of term 2 we had to create a chair that for a office or a business.  The chair has to have a metal body, four legs, a seat, and a back rest. Wheels and arms are optional.

Brain storm/prototype 1. For my first design I made a regular roll around chair. The chair has a metal center pole and legs. The feet rest is mainly hard plastic, same as the back rest. The cushions are made up of a foam material. While working on this chair one day I realized that if I was the person buying this chair I would want something more sturdy and comfortable and more suitable for the user. This brought about my second chair.

Brain storm/ prototype 2 My second brain storm is the same frame of my first. The difference between the two is that this chair has a more comfortable back rest and the legs, center pole, and the piece holding the back rest on are all metal. All of these improvements is going to make this chair more expensive but more durable.

Best possible solution The best possible solution for the project I chose was my brainstorm/prototype #2. This is because it is the most suitable chair for the needs of the market.

Test and Evaluate While I was designing and creating this chair I ran into some problems. This happened in both rhino and bongo. In rhino finding the right size pole for the center and fitting the back rest. In bongo when I had the chair rotate the back rest wasn't connected to the seat so they were rotating separately.

Project 2 For the second project of term 2 we had to design a weapon. This weapon would be apart of a video game. This weapon could be a car gun or anything the main character would use. For the second project of term 2 we had to design a weapon. This weapon would be apart of a video game. This weapon could be a car gun or anything the main character would use.

decision The weapon I chose was a sniper rifle. This gun is a long range shooter. The gun had to be durable for all weather conditions and be able to work after continuous use. It also needed to pack a big enough punch to kill anything or penetrate. I chose this gun because it’s a light weight weapon and it’s the only gun that could really had the biggest room for improvement without affecting its normal features too.

problems With the weapon I chose came some problems. Some of these problems are that the barrel was too long. I fixed this problem by asking one of my class mates to help construct it. This showed up to be very useful. Another problem was cutting the gun out of a block and connecting the pieces together. These were problem because when I cut the gun out the shape wasn't solid, it was just the lines. I fixed this by making sure all the lines were connected to an end point.

Final On my weapon I ended up putting 2 in one. Half sniper half machine gun. With enough bullets that you will rarely have to reload. This will maximize kills and accuracy.
