“Blessed Are They Who Mourn for They Shall Be Comforted.” St. Maximilian comforted and preached to the prisoners who mourned in Auschwitz.
“Blessed Are the Meek for They Shall Inherit the Earth.” St. Maximilian helped out the meek people in the camp.
“Blessed Are They Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness, for They Shall Be Satisfied.” St. Maximilian was hungry and thirsty in his cell.
“Blessed Are the Merciful, for They Shall Obtain Mercy.” St. Maximilian showed mercy to the prisoners of the camp.
“Blessed Are the Pure of Heart, for They Shall See God.” St. Maximilian was very pure of heart and did not refuse the Nazis and died freely.
“Blessed Are the Peacemakers, for They Shall Be Called Children of God.” St. Maximilian made peace for the world after preaching the word of God.
“Blessed Are They Who Are Persecuted for the Sake of Righteousness, for Theirs Is the Kingdom of Heaven.” St. Maximilian took a place of a man who was sent to death.
