Our Basic Belief... Interscholastic athletics exist outside the school day and curriculum and remain there as voluntary, extracurricular programs in which qualifying students earn the privilege of participation.
Our Basic Beliefs... Interscholastic athletics are secondary to the academic program of Dearborn High School... And provide opportunities to develop loyalty and school spirit, to practice teamwork, hard work, discipline, sacrifice, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Our Basic Beliefs... Our emphasis is on participation by many, not by few, and on academic scholarship at Dearborn High School, not athletic scholarships to college.
Athletic Offerings In , we will sponsor 51 athletic teams. 24 varsity level teams, 19 junior varsity level teams, and 6 freshman level teams at Dearborn High School 2 co-operative programs with Edsel Ford and Fordson – ice hockey and gymnastics.
Athletic Eligibility Student-athletes must meet all Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) eligibility requirements. Student-athletes must maintain a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) to remain eligible. Grades are checked at the end of each marking period – approximately every 6 weeks. The second marking period of ends on Friday, December 4th.
Athletic Physical Physical form for – MHSAA approved including heart-check information and follow up. Required for participation in high school athletics. After April 15 th, good for the following school year.
Activity Fee No change for One time fee of $100 for students participating on athletic teams. --Admission will be charged for almost all athletic events. Exceptions: Tennis, Cross Country, Baseball/Softball, Bowling, and Golf. --Students will receive a student athletic pass as part of their $100 activity fee. --Booster Club Pass?

Transportation On occasion, we will not provide transportation to away events. Typically Edsel Ford, Fordson, Crestwood, Annapolis, Robichaud, or Saturday or other non-school day events. Teams will meet at the site or carpool from school. Primary concern – safety. Secondary concern – cost savings.
