There are also some problems after we enter the WTO Pressure and challenge accelerate technological transformation better management improve quality of product sharpen their own competitive ability adapt to the globalization economic environment.

Three parts: Agriculture Industry Tertiary industry

Agriculture DDisadvantages : OOur soil resource on average is less than other countries TThe soil in the middle and the West is too dry and too poor to grow crops TThe price of water , electric energy, fuel, agriculture chemicals, seed is higher and higher these days

Ways of solving problems: Enlarge the manage scale Cut the cost Increase the modernization of agriculture.

Benefits: the tariff of beef and fruits will reduced from 30-45percent to 10 percent

Future is bright But the road is difficult to travel

Textile Industry  On November 9th,2005, China and the USA signed a new document agreed upon the import and export of textile products which declared that before 2008,China should control her rate of rise under 17% in the textile export.

The conflict opinions  the unfired methods in trade of this high speed developing Asian country are not disappeared yet.  the problem is not solved yet, the document can only defer the coming of threaten from China a little later.  We do not allow a overlord appear in this area, nether allow the advantageous conditions that supported by a country, or, the transaction of textile will not developed in its order.

What they said  controls the exchange rate  give allowance to their companies,  offered them interest-free loans The Chinese government WTO should organize a special negotiation about textile export of China so as to make a new limitation after 2008.

Before we joined WTO  our equipments were very old or even eliminated  the productivity was very limited

Take Dacron for example  The productivity was very low  West Europe ----China 35times  The USA ----China 12times  Japan ----China 13times  Taiwan Province ----Inland 30times

After we joined WTO 2 , the amount of import of textile equipments increased to 12 billion dollars. DDuring the year 2005, the amount of export in textile increased by 20.9%, and the import increased by 1.7%

But we are not threaten to them  Half of the export transaction is made on processing industries, and 60% of the products are normal kinds of clothes.  We don’t have our own famous brands.  A large part of our products is consumed by ourselves, but they added this to the total. Minister of Textile Industry Department 杜 钰洲 replied this question.

杜钰洲  born in 1942  graduated from 清华 in 1966  Minister of Textile Industry Department

He said: what the increase of export of Chinese textile brings us, is a situation that all the countries benefit from this. China is not the only one who achieves success in this field.
