Local Government Energy Audit The Local Government Energy Audit is available for: NJ Local Governments NJ State Colleges and Universities 501(c)(3) Non-profit Agencies Covering a wide range of building types, including: Offices Town Halls Police Stations Fire Stations Courtrooms Schools Community Centers Colleges

Local Government Energy Audit Participants select from a list of pre-qualified auditing firms who follow strict parameters to analyze the buildings and prepare the audit report The program subsidizes 100% of the audit cost, subject to an annual $100,000 incentive cap Audit generates a list of recommended, cost-effective energy efficiency measures and facility upgrades to reduce operating expenses Many of the recommended measures are eligible for additional incentives offered NJCEP Audit leads you to appropriate Clean Energy Programs: Smart Start incentives, Direct Install, Pay for Performance, ESIP, etc.

Local Government Energy Audit  Audit must be performed by one of five pre-selected engineering firms: Camp Dresser and McKee, Inc. Clough Harbour and Associates, LLP Concord Engineering Group Inc. Dome-Tech Group Steven Winter Associates, Inc.  Firms classified by Department of Treasury, DPMC  Rates for services posted on Treasury website

Local Government Energy Audit  TRC, the C&I Market Manager is your resource for all phases of program support.  Steps to participate: 1.Start by filling out the Registration and Facility Data forms found on the web-sitewww.njcleanenergy.com 2.Submit a resolution from your governing body authorizing you to move ahead with the program (sample on web-site)

Local Government Energy Audit  Steps to participate (continued): 4.Complete and submit a draft version of your RFP, sample document on the web-site, TRC will review and approve 5.Evaluate responses to your RFP and submit a Firm Selection Form to TRC for review 6.Once your selection is approved by TRC, schedule and complete your audit. Submit final audit report to TRC for review

Local Government Energy Audit  Steps to participate (continued): 7.Once you report is approved, submit your Incentive Request Form and audit invoice to TRC for payment. Submit once invoice and audit per building 8.Implement the recommended measures or evaluate the appropriate programs recommended in the audit, Direct Install, Pay for Performance or ESIP It’s that easy!!!
