Income and Economics

Job Creation in Williamson County With nearly 130K jobs, Wilco has about 17% of total regional jobs. BUT, during the past 5 years Wilco has fueled fully 1/3 of the region’s employment growth. Wilco employment has jumped more than 21% since 2006 while the MSA has expanded by only 9.5%. Business relocations out of Travis are increasingly common and have netted 11k jobs since SOURCE: John Rees, CAPCOG and Brian Kelsey, CivicAnalytics, 2012.
