History Many think that yoga is just a physical thing but it is also a spiritual thing. Researchers haven’t pinpointed exactly where yoga originated from –but have found that it probably started in India. In the middle ages only people who were royal and students were allowed to learn yoga but the test for students was really hard. There are four different types of yoga: Vedic, Preclassical, Classical, Postclassical. It was more spiritual back when yoga first came to the US but then it became more physical when Bhagavan Ranjneesh decided to take some of the older practices and add a few of his own fantasies to them.

Sun Salutation’s  Sun salutations is also know as S ū ryanamask ā ra. It literally means “salute to the sun”.  It’s a mixture of yoga as a medical gymnastics and body- conditioning on the one hand, and state of the art dumbbell work and freehand European bodybuilding techniques on the other.  The Sun salutations is a rearrangement of “danda” (staff postures) in which the body touches the ground with eight parts simultaneously.  It’s a dynamic meditation, builds physical strength, and expands the awareness of energy and intensifies energy.

Benefits of different yoga poses  Stress reduction: A number of studies have shown that yoga may help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.  Improved fitness: Practicing yoga may lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength.  Management of chronic conditions: Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.

Benefits con.  Poses: Yoga poses, also called postures, are series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility. Poses range from lying on the floor while completely relaxed to difficult posture that may have you stretching your physical limits  Breathing: Controlling your breathing is an important part of yoga. Yoga teaches that controlling your breathing can help you control your body and quiet.  Meditation or relaxation: In yoga, you may incorporate meditation or relaxation. Meditation may help you learn to be more mindful and aware of the present moments without judgment.
