THE NEW HOME APPLIANCE CLAMPS – GENERATION G
FIELD OF APPLICATION Carton Clamps or Domestic Appliance Clamps are used throughout the logistic chain to handle Home Appliances or ‘White Goods“ from production to the end user. Washing machines and refrigerators as well as television sets and many other non-palletized goods with or without packaging are the typical load for forklift truck attachments. Safe and damage-free load handling giving the highest productivity in the warehouse and logistics chain when transporting large numbers of sensitive loads with various weights and sizes at the lowest possible clamping forces are the demanding tasks for Home Appliance Clamps.
THE NEW RANGE PARALLEL CLAMPS – GENERATION G Highest visibility - new „double-T“ profile system - optimized chassis design - highest visibility for easy and safe load handling Robust design - optimized welding construction for highest chassis stability - self-aligning clamping cylinders - protected valve position Fit for Full-Maintenance - long service intervals, aligned with forklift truck service intervals - wear-resistant plastic inserts, easy exchange - modular built with high level of standardization for optimal spare parts supply
New double-T-shaped steel profile providing highest rigidity, optimum visibility through the attachment chassis in combination with a small lost load centre Wear resistant plastic inserts with long life and low greasing requirement Self-aligning cylinder fixations protect the chassis and clamping cylinders even in arduous operations THE NEW CHASSIS DESIGN – GENERATION G
Valve block in protected position behind the clamp chassis With pressure relief functions for opening, clamping and sideshift Equipped with flow dividers as standard for precise arm movement and equal arm travel With integral (valve-block) sideshift function, separate sideshift available on request HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ON HOME APPLIANCE CLAMPS Self-aligning cylinder fixations protect the clamping cylinders against tension when clamping the load Centrally positioned clamping cylinders provide an optimum equalization of the clamping forces over the large area contact pads
The optional load backrest (standard in arm height and chassis width), bolt-on to the chassis, provides an additional load protection Additional load support on upper edges of the contact plates for safe load alignment when loading double height and fully opened Chassis with detachable cylinder protection OPTIMUM LOAD HANDLING The rigid and tension-resistant chassis design provide an equal distribution of the clamping force over the large-area contact plates An optimum visibility through and over the attachment chassis and arm profiles allow for a safe and damage-free load handling
Sensitive goods packed in reduced wrapping or without packaging require an optimal alignment of the clamp arm to the load and a carefully selected arm geometry customized to the load dimensions. To securely hold the goods the arm length should be equally long or only slightly shorter than the load length itself. The type of packaging or wrapping is to be considered when specifiying the arm dimensions. IMPORTANCE AND INFLUENCE OF THE ARM GEOMETRY An optimum alignment of the contact plates to the load surface and the lowest possible and equally distributed clamping force are required for a safe and damage-free load handling.
(3) Contact Plate - aluminium plate (12 mm): high rigidity, low weight - inner surface with vulconized rubber coating - chamfered front edge for easy and damage-free entry into closely stacked loads DESIGN AND FEATURES OF THE LARGE SURFACE CONTACT PADS (2) Articulating Arm to support the Contact Plate - with hard-wearing protection bar, welded underneath the arm (Hardox 400, 8mm) - Extended articulation joints for better clamp force distribution (1) Basic Arm - robust arm design - large-area support of the actual clamping surface for optimum clamp force distribution - strong welded joints to the arm profiles
SPECIAL ARM DESIGNS AND OPTIONS (1) Reduced length of the supporting Articulating Arm - for handling of very narrowly stacked goods mm distance to contact plate edge (standard 30 mm) (3) Special combinations of arm designs, (double articulating, fixed, special designs) are also available. (2) Alternative arm designs - double articulating arms with split contact plates - fixed (non-articulating) arms
SPECIAL ARM DESIGNS AND OPTIONS Single articulating arm - Non-split contact plate - Arm thickness 57 mm (Including rubber coating) Double articulating arm - Split contact pad - Arm thickness 58 mm (Including rubber coating) Fixed arm - Non-split contact plate - Arm thickness 55 mm (Including rubber coating) The design of the fixed arm is identical to one of the the single articulating, but without articulation. The horizontal toe-in can be adjusted by a screw.
ACCESSORIES Robust load backrest (standard in arm height and width of chassis) Easily retrofittable, bolt-on design (no additional welding required) The special chassis design for Home Appliance Clamps already contains the additonal brackets for the retrofitting of the optional load backrest
