Presentation to SECCI - IADB Washington D.C, USA - November 7, 2008 energy for people, energy for enterprise, energy for life IDB SECCI’s fundamental objectives: to facilitate an expanded application of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in Latin America and the Caribbean Project concept supports the SECCI strategic pillar of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project concept: (i) is consistent with SECCI principles and with Nicaragua’s medium-long term energy strategies; (ii) builds towards financially viable market opportunities; (iii) has a high degree of country/client ownership; (iv) shows a high degree of innovation and value added; (v) demonstrates institutional and environmental sustainability; (vi) has a high degree of coordination and synergies with other funds; (vii) supports strong public-sector partnerships; and (viii) has strong donor coordination. Together with UNDP / Iceland 3-year integrated development project for 5 Garifuna communities within the framework of the Millennium Goals SECCI Project Context
