Bethany: a special place for Jesus

Bethany was the place where Lazarus, Jesus’ friend, lived with his sisters, Martha and Mary

Mary was the woman who anointed Jesus with oil at the house of Simon the leper (Matthew 26:6)

Jesus often went to Bethany to stay with his friends: (Matthew 21:17; Mark 11:11)

He was always welcome there. It was a place he loved to be - for a little bit of peace and rest.
