Friday, November 9, 2012 Write in your agenda: – Conjunctions/Interjections Quiz – Text Structures Practice/Independent Work – Homework: Read for AR. Finish Text Organization Practice if not done in class.

Conjunctions Remove everything from your desktop, except something to write with and your AR book. Complete the conjunctions/interjections quiz. There will be no talking during or after the quiz! When you are finished, turn your paper in to me and get out your AR book and read.

Your Time to Practice!!

Directions: Text Structures Partner Work: Regulars (Honors if time) – If you did not finish your graphic organizer sheet from yesterday with your partner, get out your graphic organizers and text and finish these. – Turn them into the basket when you are finished. Individual Work: – Once you have finished with your partner work, you will complete a graphic organizer on your own based on the text given to you. You will be turning this in for a grade.

Honors Get out graphic organizers from yesterday. We will finish going through the last few passages.

Practice Failing Classes Lots of students fail classes. Some students fail because the work is too hard for them. Other times they may fail because they are lazy, and don’t do any work. Another reason why students may fail is if they don’t go to school. If you’re not in class you may miss a lot. Many students fail classes every quarter.

Practice Passing Classes A lot of students have been failing classes. These students wouldn’t be failing classes if they studied more, asked questions, tried harder, and came in for extra help. Even though a lot of students fail classes, they have many options if they want to pass.

Practice Deviled Eggs Pop out (remove) the egg yolks to a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard powder, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fill the empty egg white shells with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to one day before serving.

Practice I remember one time in particular that I went to the beach with my friends. First, I looked for good place when I arrived at the beach, because it would be very crowded on weekends or holidays. I selected a cool place under the trees and extended a mat on the white sand. The wind that blew through the trees softly made the weather cool and pleasant. Peace came into my heart when I looked at the very beautiful long, white sand. People played games on the beach; for instance they played volleyball. Some of them swam in the shallow sea. There were some kids trying to make something in the sand, and then trying to break it. Everybody looked happy at that time.
