SAFETY AWARENESS As a step towards ‘Safety awareness drive’, a painting competition was organised in the school by the JayPee group. The competition was held for three sections. Junior Section- Class III to V Senior Section – Class VI to X Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff The competition included Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, Safety Measures and Suggestions and Poster Making. The Vice President of SMC Major Gen S. Chaudhuri gave away the prizes to the winners of the competition. Three of our teachers Mr. Tsultrim Gytso (Art & Craft), Ms. Deepti Gupta Sirkeck (PGT English) and Ms. Sandhya Sharma (TGT Hindi) were also given prizes for their participation. MOCK DRILL- FIRE SAFETY A Mock drill on fire safety was held on 16 th April’15. Students were informed about different types of fire and the extinguishers to be used. The drill was very informative and the students got to know subtle details about fire safety.

WORLD HEALTH DAY World Health Day was celebrated in Jay Jyoti School on 7 th April. Inter House Collage making competition was held. All the four houses made beautiful and informative collages. Pictures were used to tell about the adverse affects of junk food and importance of healthy and nutritious food. Chenab House was adjudged the winner and Baspa House was the runner up. LABOUR DAY Labour Day was commemorated in Jay Jyoti School to respect our helpers who make our life easy and comfortable. Students made cards for their daily helpers in school and gave them as a token of their thanks. WORLD LAUGHTER DAY An Inter House Drama Competition was held to mark the world Laughter Day on 2 nd May. The theme of the competition was “humour”. Participants dressed in beautiful and colourful clothes displayed their acting skills on the stage. The confidence and dialogue delivery of the students were praised by all. This competition filled the air with laughter and everyone enjoyed it. The winners of the competition were:- 1 st - Satluj House 2 nd – Baspa House

THINK BIG THOUGHTS, BUT RELISH SMALL PLEASURES FANCY DRESS COMPETITION Fancy dress competition for class-I & II was held on 2 nd May. It was a visual treat to see the toddlers dressed up as fairies, doctors, cartoon characters and even cakes. The children were beaming with joy and confidence. The way these little kids carried themselves was remarkable. MOTHERS’ DAY As a token of their love and respect, students made beautiful cards for their mothers. Decorated with flowers, ribbons and pictures, they put their feelings on paper. Some students wrote very catchy slogans and gave words to their feelings.

CONFERENCE/WORKSHOP: The Jaypee Schools Principal conference was held at Anoopshahar from May The theme for the Principal conference was WHOLISTIC (HOLISTIC) AND VALUE BASED EDUCATION. Mr. Bikram Singh Negi, Principal JJS attended the conference. Social Science workshop attended by Ms. Premlata which was held on 30 March 2015 to 4 April 2015 at JayPee Public School Noida. BOARD RESULTS: Class X and XII results declared by HPBOSE Dharamshala. All the students of class X scored more than 80% marks. Master Vivek Saraswat got 1 st position with 94% marks overall. In class XII all the students passed the examination with first division (Lowest 70%). Miss Diksha Kaushal got 1 st position with 84.8% marks overall. ENVIRONMENT DAY A painting and slogan writing competition was held in the school to mark the celebration of Environment Day. Students showed the impact of pollution on our environment and the ways to protect it through their paintings and posters. INVESTITURE CEREMONY The investiture ceremony was held on 6 th June’15. Mr. H.K. Sharma Managing Director, JPVL was the chief guest for the occasion. The junior wing presented a group song and a dance to start the programme. Thereafter the newly elected school council was called in and the sashes were put around them. Mr. H.K. Sharma congratulated the newly elected council and encouraged them to discharge their duties with dedication. YOG DIVAS First International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 st June in the school premises. The students were told about the benefits of yog and meditation in their daily lives. Pallav Semwal, Shiv Kumar and Bimlendu Tripathi of class 10 th demonstrated some of the ‘Asans’ which help us to remain fit and healthy. INTER HOUSE QUIZ COMPETITION An Inter House Quiz Competition was organized in the school for three categories:- Category-1 –Class III to V – Science Quiz Category-2 Class VI to VIII – Hindi Grammar Quiz Category -3 Class IX to XII – English Grammar Quiz All the participants were well prepared and gave a remarkable performance. The quiz was prepared by the HOD’s of the respective departments. It was a neck to neck competition and the margin of points between the teams was very less. The Winners were: Category-1 – Satluj House Category- 2 – Baspa House Category-3 – Satluj House

SPORTS EVENTS The School Kabbadi and Volleyball Team participated in the PYKAA Under-16 Tournament which was held in Govt. Middle School, Sholtu. The Govt. Schools of the nearby areas also participated in the event. Our School begged the third position in volleyball and were acknowledged as Champions in Kabbadi. Master Nitish won Gold Medal in 800 meter race. The School Choir group performed in the closing ceremony of the event and got the first position.
