Part 1 Introducing the Monitoring Directory
Click ”Directory” to view monitoring information
Click the program name to open a program page of interest Table headings can be used to sort program listings by program, agency/organization, basin, or number of sites
Use this link to download program information, including sampling sites, codes, latitudes, and longitudes in excel format
Clicking a site name will generate a listing of parameters sampled here, sample type, and frequency
Part 2 Using the Monitoring Map Viewer
Use the “Programs” tab to call up monitoring sites and information by program
Map any combination of programs to display monitoring sites
Generate monitoring information in table format
Use the “Parameters” tab to view sites where specific parameters are sampled and call up related monitoring information
Use the “Sites” tab to locate monitoring stations and/or call up monitoring information by site
Click “Show on Map” to find a site on the map
Part 3 Using the Program update forms
Access point:

Select program to edit
The form uses several masks under different tabs for adding/editing various types of information. Always hit save after making changes!
The site info tab allows selecting existing sites for editing site-specific sampling information….
deleting sites. This is not recommended, because it precludes future modifications of the directory to display historic monitoring. However, this is the only option to remove sites from the database that were entered in error.
Make sure to hit save after making changes, or they will be lost!
Click “Add Site” site to enter additional sampling sites.
There are two options: 1) selecting from a list of sites that are already entered in the database (by other agencies/ programs, or 2) entering new sites in the database
New Parameters can be added to all sites of a program, to individual sites, or to multiple sites. Parameters can only be added to existing sites.
ALWAYS make sure to hit save after making changes, or they will be lost! Edit Selected Sites tab: Existing parameters may also be deleted. Deleting parameters is not recommended, unless they have been entered by mistake, because it precludes future modifications of the directory to display historic monitoring. However, this is the only option to remove parameters from the database that were entered in error.
