How is ocean wave energy nowadays used in Japan? 11720301 Yousuke Kouchi

Wave energy Peculiarity ◎energy per area is high !! <comparison> 20~30 times of solar energy 5 ~10 times of wind energy ◎Generation effect change by environment . ◎Easy to do a prediction of the quantity of generation.

Nowadays used in Japan Wave activated generation 3types Convert to air energy Convert to mechanical energy Convert to potential energy of the water Many Researcher research wave activated generation system now.

Wave activated generation Mechanism of the generation Wells Turbine Air flow Air room Incoming waves Dilatational wave Wells Turbine Air flow Air room Example "Mighty Whale”

But・・・ It does not spread in Japan. Because ・・・ ◎ It need high cost . ◎ Consideration of the safety is difficult. ◎ Harm a scene.

Conclusion Wave energy used to Generate electricity in Japan. But wave activated generation has a lot of demerit . Therefore it does not spread in Japan. If wave activated generation improve these demerits, it is difficult to use wave activated generation. We struggle these demerits.
