1.ABSTRACT: The micro-seismic signal acquisition and transmission is an important key part in geological prospecting. This paper describes a bran- new solution of micro-seismic signal acquisition and remote transmission using Xbee technique and wireless data transmission technique. The hardware such as front-end data acquisition interface made up by Xbee wireless networking technique, remote data transmission solution composed technique and interface between Xbee and ARM is designed in detail. Meanwhile the corresponding software of the system is given out. The solution solves the numerous practical problems nagged by complex and terrible environment faced using micro-seismic prospecting. The experimental results demonstrate that the method using Xbee wireless network communication technique.

2.OBJECTIVES: Since the main intension of this projects is to design Earthquake Early Warning System Using Arm and Xbee for wireless transmission. If earth quake can happen so that people can take precautions to fulfill this application there are few steps that has been performed.

3.BLOCK DIAGRAM :  TRANSMITTER STAGE :

 RECEIVER STAGE:

4. METHODOLOGY: The transmitter will have the seismic noise detection sensor, when any slight vibration in earth layers that is detected then it gives the signal to the ARM, then the ARM will send the information to another receiving station through Xbee which is in security office. At the same time ARM will generate the out put that is fed to buffer IC 4050,buffer stores and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies and voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to drive the relay. Then signal is given to the output load for indication purpose. When ARM receives the data from the Xbee, it will enable the alert through the Buzzer in receiver side.

5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:  ADVANTAGES: 1.Early warning systems can play an important role in reducing the negative impact of these 2. catastrophic events on densely populated areas and in mitigating the damage to strategic structures and lifelines. 3. Provides information to support decision making for the rapid response of emergency management services. 4. It can activate the control system to protect crucial structures. 5. It requires less power supply. 6. Portable circuit easy to handle.

 DISADVANTAGES: 1.In this project usage of relays leads to consume more power. 2.It increases the cost whereas digital systems reduce the cost of system.

6.APPLICATIONS: 1.This project can be implementing in gas Industries. 2.It is used in mining of coal & other materials. 3.It is used in municipal gas distribution. 4.This project can be use in Military applications. 5.It is used in nuclear power station.

7.CONCLUSION: Wireless data acquisition and network transmission system of micro-seismic signals based on the ARM and Xbee technique is available for staff to remotely realize real-time monitoring through the computer terminal node. Such system has a very important significance in micro- earthquake research and application in the mine. Besides, the solution can be used to collect the data and transmitting the data in wireless mode in every other region.
