.the industrial revolution began in great Britain in the 1700s.It was a time when people used machinery and new methods to increase productivity. Productivity is a measure of how much work can be done in certain length of time

250 years ago most people had to make their clothes by hand. Then about the year 1750, people began to invent new machine to help them make clothes. These new machines could do work that people had always done by hand.

England had a handcraft textile industry using wool with the availability of cotton from overseas market as an alternative raw mattered. The scientific revolution prepared the way for new inventions to be applied to industry. The scientific revolution was that in England. A spreading shortage of wood stimulated a search for alternatives. It was used for energy, for shipbuilding and construction. England was rich in supplies. They used the coal for energy and iron for construction.

The industrial revolution is important because it accelerated American Economy. Also was so important because it affected the way people live. The industrial revolution in the way goods were mad
