 This project studies the will of Hong Kong’s citizens of should the government apply the 334 policy.  This is an assignment of Secondary 3 Liberal Studies at St. Francis Xarvier’s College.

 Yes, it is relevant. Why? This is because 334 policy is our education policy this year. We are all going to study it for the coming years until we have entered the university or studying overseas. In addition, we should concern about our study, our future.

 Yes, it is innovative. The main reason is that many of us, students, up to now, do not know anything about the 334 policy, for example, what are the subjects 334 policy include?, Is it good or not? What will the H.K Society become in the future if 334policy is continuously used? Therefore, it is innovative that many people are concerning about it.

 Yes, it is worth to study because we can study about the future of our society. If the 334policy is good at our society, the government will continuously carry out and lots of advantages will affect us in the future. If we get a result that the 334policy is actually bad to our society, the people who read our project will agree our statement. Moreover, a deep actions will be carried out such as Group signing action, writing letters to the H.K government….etc.

 In order to find out number of people who think that liberal study can nature students’ critical thinking, we have interviewed 43 citizens by simple random sampling. The results are as above. The survey results show that around 50% of people( 23 people) disagree that liberal study can nurture students’ critical thinking. Around one quarter of them agree the statement

 According to the above pie chart, around 63% people (27interviewees) preferred the old education policy. Around 30% of people (13 interviewees) preferred the 334 education policy.

 15/4 Plan of work  16/4 Final organize data  17/4 Final report

 We have conducted a questionnaire with 43 persons included students, parents and teachers. We also get the information from internet and the library.  Simple random sampling

 We have found that most of the people in questionnaire do not prefer 334 policy. The factors lead to this is not enough of advertisement for 334 policy of government. Therefore, people always think that 334 policy is very complicated. Also they do not know what is critical thinking.

 We should work more on the study for example giving more detail information about the studies of questionnaire.

 You may ask question about our project. Made by Ngai Ho Yee Niko Ho Shui Ho Andrew
