Land Water Location River near city?

 Rome is located in the middle of the Italian Peninsula which juts out into the center of the Mediterranean Sea.  The sea is on three sides of the Italian Peninsula and gives easy access to trading on all three continents: Europe, Africa, and Asia  The exact location of Rome is near the western coast in the middle of the Italian Peninsula. All roads lead to Rome and ships can easily transport soldiers from Rome and the southern portion of the Italian Peninsula.

 Explain

 Romans got the columns and pediment structures from the Greeks.  Romans acquired the arch from the Etruscans.

 A long peace enforced by the Roman power that lasted 200 years.

 Christians won new followers by facing persecution and death bravely and Christianity offered an afterlife.

 Paul was a former Roman soldier who converted to Christianity and preached about Jesus.  Jesus is savior for everyone, not just the Jews.

 They did not recognize the emperor as a god.  The Christians believe only in one God.
