LEED Certified Experience Samet Corporation was founded in 1961 by Norman Samet in High Point, NC (NC GC License 3538). While Samet started as a design/build industrial contractor we have matured over the years into a much more diverse organization. We now provide development, preconstruction, and construction services to a variety of industries such as medical, industrial, commercial, religious/civic and retail. Since our start we have grown our revenue to $175 million dollars annually and routinely deliver projects up to twenty million dollar range. Our employees specialize in delivering each and every one of these projects on budget and on schedule. Samet Corporation has focused on supporting and implementing Green Building Practices in the construction industry. Arthur Samet, our current President, has taken our company to another level by asking each employee to become a LEED AP utilizing our Samet University. Since this program has started, we have three LEED AP’s on staff and twenty five (25) employees almost complete with the program with forty (40) scheduled for the fall session. Kristen Chrismon and Scott Murray are teaching our employees how to use Green Building Technology and alternative processes of thinking to obtain greater value and efficient solutions to our clients. We are an innovative solution provider that has always used Green Building Techniques in our building designs ranging from recycling on the job to installing building materials and systems that are sustainable. The market has changed over the years along with our clients presenting an influx of energy efficient buildings that can provide the most value for the investment dollar. We recognize that our ability to adapt and stay open to change keeps us sharp and ready for future challenges. We are showing our support with the Green Movement by participating in a Joint Venture Project and developing a 40,000 sf Medical Office Building located in our Maple One Professional Park in Greensboro, NC. Currently we are in the beginning of the design development phase much like the Lyden Centre project as we anticipate every building in our park to be a LEED Certified building. LEED Certified Experience Through this design development phase, we must take into consideration the site development as a key ingredient for each future project and the potential LEED credits that are associated with the site. Our team consists of a LEED AP designer, LEED Commissioning Consultant - Tom Foster, an interior designer, and our trade partners for each major trade. We submitted a Request For Proposals to all trade partners qualified to perform the work resulting in an incredible team motivated as a team to make this project a success. Samet has also shown support in our industrial parks by holding team meetings with our designers and trade partners to help develop and design LEED Certified Industrial Spec Buildings that will become available to any potential client in Central North Carolina. Our team is in the beginning design development stages of producing our first LEED Certified Industrial Spec Building located in Triad Business Park between Greensboro and Winston Salem, NC. We understand the importance of the LEED program and the purpose of working together as a team to identify, breakdown, and resolve potential environmental issues utilizing the resources from designers, contractors, and trade partners to deliver the project on time and under budget resulting in a sustainable community for all of us to enjoy.
