90 – 90 – 90 Schools 90 – 90 – 90 Schools have the following characteristics: More than 90% of the students are eligible for free and reduced lunch More than 90% of the students are from ethnic minorities More than 90% of the students met or exceeded academic standards Accountability in Action, Reeves 2000

Characteristics Common to 90/90/90 and Teacher Based Teams 1.Laser-like focus on achievement 2.Clear and defined curriculum choices. 3.Frequent assessment of student progress. 4.Teachers chart achievement weekly. 5.Focused intervention. 6.Multiple opportunities for students to succeed. 7.Teachers give frequent written feedback.. 100 /100/100 SCHOOLS  Leadership and Learning Center has been working with districts across the nation implementing the key components of the 90/90/90 schools.  There are now many that can be considered 100/100/100! Some examples from Norfolk: 2011 Board of Education Excellence Award Ghent Elementary and Mary Calcott Elementary 2011 Governor’s Award for Educational Excellence Larchmont Elementary, Ocean View Elementary and Willoughby Elementary
