Emerging Technologies ICT doesn’t stand still and technology is constantly evolving and new devices / concepts are released, What technologies are currently emerging?? Cloud computing, Greater storage capacities, HTML 5, Mobile networking, On-Line Gaming, Remote monitoring (RMON), Server virtualisation, Tablet computers, Teleworking, Video on demand, Voice over IP (VoIP), Web interfacing. Greater use of biometrics IP v6 QR Codes VDI

For the assignment For each technology you need to be able to produce: A description of the technology What it offers, how it works, what we would do without it Examples of the technology A solid example of how the technology is being used. This might be a scenario, the hardware involved or a description of how the emerging technology is used. Good aspects of the technology What you think is good about the technology Bad aspects What you think is bad about the technology. Impacts of the technology How the technology will affect people and society – both postive and negatively.
