How do we work with USAID? Requirements Eligible to Mozambican-registered private sector companies. Projects must address access to improved inputs and technologies. Nampula, Manica, Tete, Zambezia. Projects must primarily benefit smallholder farmers. Oilseeds (soy, sunflower, groundnut), pulses (bean, cowpea, pigeon pea), bananas, cashews. Minimum of one to one matching cash and or in-kind contribution. Estimated two-year funding period.
Terms of Reference and Evaluation Criteria Program must be private sector-led, show market potential, improve small farmer access to technologies and/or markets Smallholder farmer impact: increases in agricultural productivity, sales revenue, employment and incomes Partnerships and organizational capacity Sustainability: commercially viable activity
