The A-Theory: There are some A-facts that are irreducible to B-facts. The B-Theory: All A-facts are reducible to B- facts. The Token-Reflexive Analysis: A statement of the form “x is past/present/future” is true only if, and because, x is earlier than/simultaneous with/later than the utterance of that statement.
Prior’s “TGTO” Argument 1.If the B-theory is true, then, when I say “TGTO”, I’m just expressing my relief that the relevant ordeal is earlier than this utterance. 2.That’s not the case. 3.The B-Theory is false.
