Government and Public Affairs ( G.P.A. )

Introduction All S.3 students are welcomed to find out what GPA at HKCE level is about. You will study some basic political concepts like 'governmnet', 'state', 'sovereignty', 'democracy' etc. A major part of the syllabus at HKCE level is about the system of government of Hong Kong SAR and current affairs. For Example:

A. 1. The relationship between Hong Kong SAR and the Central People's Government, according to the Basic Law. 2. The three branches of government namely the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary. The role and functions of political parties, interest goups, the mass mwedia etc. 3. The rights and duties of citizens in Hong Kong.

B. A basic understanding of the system of government in People's Republic of China.

Suitability to take G.P.A. You are most welcomed to take this subject in S.4 & 5 if you are interested in politics and your English must be good.
