Statistics Lithuania activity Statistics Lithuania provides high quality statistical information to population, business, academic institutions, public and municipal institutions. Statistical information is published in the publications and on-line. In 2012, 100 per cent of statistical information is planned to be provided on the Internet according to the Official Statistics Work Programme. The website of Statistics Lithuania provides the Database of Indicators which has been created with the help of the PC-Axis family.
Use of PC-Axis in Statistics Lithuania The PC-Axis family has been a basic part of Statistics Lithuania dissemination strategy from 2004 and onwards. In August 2007, Statistics Lithuania launched a new web page of the Database of Indicators. It works directly with macro database and now we don’t use px-files creation for dissemination of statistical information via Internet. Online system was implemented in our office with great support of colleagues from Statistics Denmark. They allowed us using their system and did the basic work on adjustment to our needs. Currently we use the following components: PC-Axis SQL Macro PC-Web components, PX-iMap, PX-iGraph as a parts of Database of Indicators
