WebQuest Lesson
What is a WebQuest? A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. (Dodge, B. 1998) A WebQuest is a form of Problem-based learning where the learning is anchored to a problem that will provide stimulus for the students learning (Savery & Duffy, 1995)
What is a WebQuest cont. A WebQuest is an activity where the students will search for specific pre-selected resources online for information. The resources are carefully selected by the instructor to best support the learning. A WebQuest can be constructed as a paper- based handout, an actual web site, a series of web pages provided to students on disk, or as a PowerPoint presentation.

WebQuest components The Introduction – Providing the purpose of the activity to the students. m m The Task – Describing the end result to the students. The Process – The steps the students will follow in the lesson.
WebQuest components The Evaluation – Description to the learners of the performance evaluation. The Conclusion – Providing closure to the students. The Teacher Page – information to help other teachers such as Standards, types of students targeted for the lesson, notes and tips about teaching the lesson, etc.
