THE CONVICTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TEXT: John 16:7-11

The word “convict” or “reprove – KJV” means… To admonish To convince Tell a fault or rebuke The Work of the Holy Spirit in the World is to Convict Them...

I. AS SINFUL John 16:8a Acts 2:36,37 If the Holy Spirit cannot convict people of their sin let’s not heap condemnation and insult upon them. Pray that any hindrances be removed. Our world needs a healthy dose of a need of God.

II. WITHOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS John 16:10 He, the Holy Spirit, helps people realize that they have no righteousness in themselves and… They need forgiveness through the grace that God offers them. Romans 1:12

III. UNDER JUDGEMENT John 16:11 Colossians 2:15 If people proudly go against God’s safety zone they will have to face the result of the flames We need to cooperate with the Holy Spirit while there is still time. Let the Holy Spirit do the conviction!
