Macbeth The Scottish Play

By William Shakespeare Adapted by 9W February 2013

Macbeth was a brave soldier who fought for King Duncan in Scotland.

Macbeth met three witches who told him he would get Cawdor Castle and become King.

When shall we three meet again ? In thunder lightning or in rain ?

When the hurly burly’s done. When the battle’s lost and won. That will be ere the set of the sun.

King Duncan gave Macbeth Cawdor Castle because he was very brave.

Lady Macbeth wanted Macbeth to be King of Scotland.

She told Macbeth to kill King Duncan so he did.

Macbeth killed his friend Banquo. His ghost frightened Macbeth.

There was a battle and Macbeth was afraid.

The witches told Macbeth he could not be killed unless the wood came to his castle.

Double double toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

By the pricking of my thumbs Something wicked this way comes.

The soldiers hid behind branches and walked to the castle.

Lady Macbeth died and Macbeth was killed.
