Discrimination Against AYNU ● Now, Japanese has discriminated against AYNU. Have you ever discriminated?Rate of business by industry ⇒ Usually, we don’t think about discrimination against AYNU. So, we have to think and understand AYNU, their actual condition and their demand.

What is “AYNU”? a) Population : 30,000 b) Residence : Hokkaidou c) Language : Ainu d) Native tribes of Hokkaidou

History of AYNU ● 12 th century, AYNU started living in Hokkaidou. ● Until 18 th century, AYNU controlled Hokkaidou. ● 19 th century, AYNU governed by the government. ● In 1997, it was established the Law of AYNU.

Actual Condition of AYNU Discrimination against AYNU. Many parents of AYNU have been so concerned whether their children fit into Japanese society. The connecting their children to their family has been very thin and Ainu heritage has been going out.
