On may the 7 th 1959, Vietnams forces won the battle of Dien Bien Phu and ended the French involvement in Indochina. This victory lead to the Geneva conference where French and Vietnam negotiated a ceasefire agreement.

The following aircraft was used in the Vietnam War: 0-1 Bird Dog, 0-2 Skymaster, OV-10 Bronco and C123 provider. Artur and I think that the 0-1 Bird Dog has the coolest name.

There were a total of 3,629 killed and wounded. Also the soldiers were killed in 9 different ways. Such as drowning, accidental kills and people died of illness and many more.

The amount of people served in the VW is 49,211 and of all those men served in the war, 4 people got awarded the Vic Cross

The Victoria Cross is a decoration awarded for conspicuous bravery in common wealth armed services, instituted by Queen Victoria in The winners were Peter John Badcoe,Keith Payne, Ray Stewart Simpson and Kevin Arthur Wheatley.

The Vietnam war ended by Vietnams victory and lost to many Australians casualties and illnesses. This is making it one of the most saddest Australian involvements history.
