Business Computer Applications Ms. Socorro Santos-Winters

B.C.A. Word Students learn the correct way of typing. Continuous repetition of the keys and instructions are given. Students must practice in order to increase speed and accuracy. On the teachers web-page; several web-site have been posted. Students are instructed to use these sites to help with speed and accuracy. Instructions are written on the board every day so that each student knows what she is to do before class starts. Note Book and Folders are essential. Students may use their notes for any exam. A Jump Drive will be provided to each student. Students can also use any information on their Jump Drive for any exams.

B.C.A. Word Grades: Students are graded on Posture, Class Participation, Exams, Class Work, Note Book and the ability to solve problems on their own. Timing Test are given frequently. Word: Students will type: Letters Letters with envelopes, tables, enumerations, two page letters. Memorandums Students will have to know the difference between letters and memorandums. Memorandums with, tables, enumerations.

B.C.A. Word Continuing on Word: Research Papers using the MLA version. Examples: a/pdf/ _747.pdf a/pdf/ _747.pdf Examples of work cited are: Résumés: Work Résumés and An Academic Résumés.

B.C.A. Excel Students will learn the Excel Program. Students will use the Spread Sheet to construct and work on Budgets & Grades.

B.C.A. PowerPoint Students are going to have to work on a PowerPoint that will be presented in class. Presentation are to be between 5-10 minutes long. Minimum of 6 slides. Maximum of 9 slides.
