Cocoa Honors An Askinosie Chocolate “bean to bar” experience A project in cooperation with Central High School, Drury University, and Askinosie Chocolate

Our Goals Help locate a sustainable source of high quality African beans

Our Goals Help develop long- term relationships with the farmers Pictures from previous Askinosie trips to Ecuador and Mexico

Our Goals Travel to Africa to meet the farmers and perform a service project in the farmers’ region Pictures from previous Askinosie trips to Ecuador and Mexico

Our Goals Assist Askinosie Chocolate in making their first Single- Origin African Chocolate Bar Learn about logistics – from there to here

Our Progress Meeting weekly with Shawn Askinosie we narrowed our country selection from all of Africa…. ….to Tanzania ….to Tanzania and Liberia and Liberia

Our Needs We have estimated that each participant will need a minimum of $3,500 for the trip, ($70,000) which will cover: Airfare Airfare Accommodations Accommodations Food Food In-country transportation In-country transportation Our service project Our service project.

Your Contribution All donations made will go toward the travel expenses for the students and teacher sponsors, as well as the funding for the service project None of the money raised will pay for beans or Shawn Askinosie’s trip

Your Contribution Tax deductible donations should be payable to Drury University with Cocoa Honors in the memo line
