Climate Change - Adapting to The Impacts, by Communities in Northern Peripheral Regions Survey summary training on climate change adaptation at local level is needed (municipality workers, local authorities) training should be given in national languages in a face-to-face seminars or 1-2 day courses common topics that interested in all regions: energy, natural resources, tourism, built environment sharing best knowledge & examples on how municipalities & regions can adapt & mitigate to climate change Regional differences: e.g. landslides / coastal issues in Norway  the training and service needs a clear focus on local issues in local languages

Climate Change - Adapting to The Impacts, by Communities in Northern Peripheral Regions Lessons learnt and next steps Self-sustainable service has to be able to work locally (local issues,local language, local laws etc) Co-operation with existing national networks and organisations working on climate change adaptation Share and use information gained in other work packages and other projects Train the trainers who can share their knowledge and train & advice the municipalities, communities, businesses
