Paper and pencil tests to assess various aspects of personality What are some defining characteristics of objective personality tests? What are some common personality tests and can you describe in what type of situation you may want to administer them? How are these tests in common and how are they different? Have you ever taken a personality test? Can you retell your scenario? Lets summarize objective personality testing

According to Neukrug and Fawcett (2010) “projective personality testing was defined as a type of personality assessment in which a client is presented a stimulus to which to respond to” (p. 204) Interpretations are then made based on the client’s responses and personality factors are interpreted Often based on normative data

What are some characteristics of projective tests? ________ ________ ________ What are some common projective tests? Please describe the test and provide some rational for a situation you would use it in. What experiences have you had with projective tests?

Can you compare and contrast objective and projective (subjective) personality tests? How can the results of clinical assessment impact a client? What uses do clinicians have in administering clinical assessments? Unit 6 DB questions
