Swat The Call Number!!!

Objectives I can participate in and follow the rules for group learning activities. I can identify the correct call number for fiction and easy fiction books.

E SMI Call Number Review A book call number contains two sets of information: a letter indicating where the book belongs in the library, and the first 3 letters of the author’s last name. E SMI

E SHA This book is an easy fiction book 1st 3 letters of the author’s last name

F KIN This is a fiction book (chapter book) 1st 3 letters of the author’s last name

How to play “Swat the Call Number” 3 players will each take a fly swatter. Mrs. Acker will show you a book cover. First, you must decide whether it is fiction or easy fiction. Then decide what you think the book’s call number should be. Mrs. Acker will show you 3 possible call numbers. The first student to “swat” the correct call number is the winner, and he/she will go on to the next round.
