Learning Materials - Software Process for Deciding Software Textbooks from each publisher were requested “Best fit” textbook from each publisher was chosen Two team members evaluated software for each textbook chosen Meetings were held to discuss pros and cons of each textbook and software After a few meetings, the team agreed to use Angel and Course Compass

Technology Initial Challenges Room to accommodate 60 computers Funding for the room renovation and technology Timeline for implementation Solutions A program was deactivated which cleared the way for a room that could accommodate our needs Through a Title III grant and the facilities budget, we were able to fund the room construction and technology The process was started in October 2007 and the room was completed January 19, 2009

Technology Continuing Challenges Keeping all computers working Keeping faculty computers up to date Experimental technology (to the college) being used in the new room. Small OIT Department taking care of all campus technology

Faculty Development Team members received load reductions to develop course material in course compass Each team member created assignments for 2 chapters During the summer and fall, teams members met to refine the assignments Course documents were created during the fall semester and added to Angel

Faculty Training Pearson representative came to campus to give general course compass training Specific team members are responsible for the course shells that will be distributed Two team members receive a stipend to train adjuncts for our specific college needs
