EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES Goal: To gain awareness of the emerging technologies of computers in today’s world.

Standard 2.0 The student will examine new and emerging technologies and evaluate the impact and applications of computers in society.

Technology Timeline Students will be divided into groups. Each group will be assigned a decade beginning with the 1930’s. Each group will create a timeline of technology advances and corresponding historical events. When each group has finished the timeline, they will create a poster illustrating their timeline. The class will then hang their posters around the classroom.

Technology Timeline Each group is responsible for: A written timeline in chronological order (Timeline must include all dates from the Emerging Technologies PowerPoint plus other important corresponding historical events. Example: airplane, VCR, bubblegum, etc…) Bringing a white poster board (can be bought through The Cardinal’s Nest) Illustrating timeline on poster

Technology Timeline Each poster must have: Title ( Example: The 1930’s or something catchy) Student names (Example: Created by…......) Written timeline Pictures (Drawn by hand or printed) Each poster must be: Neat Creative Existent
