KIFAY is a protein and amino acid optimizer to be used in poultry. It improves the avaibility of essential amino acid methionine and has a methionine sparing effect on the body. Kifay improves the apparent ileal digestibility of the feed and also improves protein utilization by reduced fecal nitrogen deposition and thus also improves protein turn-over rates.

MECHANISM OF ACTION TM

KIFAY - Mechanism of action Mechanism of actionStudy conducted Kifay works on improving the ileal and fecal amino acid digestibility Protein and amino acid digestibility studies in broilers It improves the uptake of amino acids from the blood into the cell Amino acid partitioning studies in Layers and broilers Methionine and total protein concentrations in eggs It reduces the amino acids diverted to degradation which results in lesser amounts if nitrogen waste products being formed Circulating thyroid hormone studies to analyze the adequacy of methionine supplementation, Egg quantity and quality parameter studies in Layers and performance studies in broilers with breast and thigh muscle yield and other carcass parameters It provides least cost amino acid matrix by reducing external methionine supplementation by 50 to 75 % Performance studies in Broiler, Layers and Broiler breeders.

KIFAY - Mechanism of action Reduced Nitrogen run -offs

USPs TM

USPs Least cost formulation Reduced nitrogen deposition on litter and thus reduced ammonia problems by improving nitrogen utilization. Reduced liver and kidney load for nitrogen excretionImproved egg quality traits and FCR

Nitrogen utilization v/s other ammonia control measures Does it look like a comb? ( Yes,we were arguing on this)

Dosage TM

Dosage 1- 2 Kg of KIFAY per ton of feed OR Cost optimization matrix So we use as direct 1- 2 Kg per ton of feed OR

TM

For the numerical kind…… 85 DLM = 100 KIFAY factor of 0.85 is to be used in the calculation, to calculate DLM availability and 1.17 can be used to find out direct dosage For 100 percent replacement Use complete substitution with KIFAY Thus, if a formulation has 2 Kg per ton of total methionine( DLM + any liquid met varieties ) used as an external amino acid supplementation, We use 2 kg *1.17 =2.34 Kg of KIFAY as complete substitution for methionine. For 75 :25 replacement We add 75 % Kifay and 25 % DLM Thus, if a formulation has 2 Kg per ton of total methionine( DLM + any liquid met varieties ) used as an external amino acid supplementation, We can use 75 % of 2 Kg = 1.5 * 1.17 = Kg of Kifay should be used and 0.5 Kg of DLM should be combined Thus, the final formulation will be Kg of KIFAY Kg of DLM For 50:50, replacement We add 50 % Kifay and 50 % DLM Thus, if a formulation has 2 Kg per ton of total methionine( DLM + any liquid met varieties ) used as an external amino acid supplementation, We can use 50 % of 2 Kg = 1.0 * 1.17 = 1.17 Kg of Kifay should be used and 1.0 Kg of DLM should be combined Thus, the final formulation will be 1.17 Kg of KIFAY Kg of DLM
