Task: You will be given 3 Modern-Day Interpretation Project ideas for Romeo and Juliet. Please write down the requirements for all 3 activities as I go through them with you. After you have seen all 3 options, you can then pick which one you would like to complete for this assignment. Due 2/24-2/25

Option 1: Rewrite a dialogue between two characters from the text in modern-day format as if it took place online through instant messaging or on a cell phone or other tool using instant messaging. Requirements: 20 lines of dialogue (minimum) 1 paragraph (4-6 sentences) explaining which scene you are rewriting, as well as what is taking place between the two characters.

Option 2: Find a scene in the text that you believe would have been radically different given the existence of a certain piece of advanced high- tech equipment. Name the item and describe how and why the scene would have been different, and how it would have affected the outcome of the play. Requirements: Name item 1 paragraph (4-6 sentences) explaining how and why the scene would have been different. 1 paragraph (4-6 sentences) explaining how it would have affected the outcome of the play.

Option 3: Choose one of the characters from the text and create a playlist that the character would have on his or her iPod. Invent the name for the playlist, and create a list of the names of the songs and artists. Requirements: List of 10 songs/artists on the playlist 1-2 sentences per song explaining what the song is about. 1-2 sentences per song explaining how it relates to the character and the play.
