Personality A person’s unique blend of physical, mental, social, and emotional traits

Personality Values: the principles or standards that guide the way a person acts. Positive Values:

Four Factors Influence Your Personality Adults: teach you their values, some of which you may adopt Environment: where you live and everything around you. This includes emotions, attitudes and behaviors of those around you.

Four Factors Influence Your Personality 3. Heredity: traits you have gotten from your biological parents. This includes physical and mental traits. These traits can influence what you like to do and how you perform tasks. 4. Your behavior: the way you act. What you do will affect whether people think you are outgoing, shy, friendly or withdrawn.

Self-esteem What a person thinks about himself or herself. People with Positive Self-esteem: Act responsibly Are confident about reaching goals They are honest about evaluating strengths and weaknesses They work to improve all areas -People with Negative Self-esteem: Take criticism as defeat Might blame others for a mistake rather than correcting it. Might lack courage to reach goals

6 Traits of Good Character Honesty: Telling the truth and acting on it. It also means not cheating. Respect: treating others with dignity and consideration. It means not making fun of them.

6 Traits of Good Character Responsibility: making healthy decisions and honoring your promises. Fairness: following the rules and caring about everyone’s point of view.

6 Traits of Good Character Caring: sharing the pain and happiness of others. Helping those in need. Citizenship: doing your part as a member of the community. It means obeying laws and advocating for the health of others.
