亞毛斯先知 His career took place during a period of great material prosperity for Israel, but also a period of social and religious corruption.

亞毛斯先知 His harsh words are directed against –the king (7:10-11) –Priest (7:16-17) –The upper classes (4:1-3;6:1)

亞毛斯先知 His vocation: –I am not a prophet, nor I belong to a prophetic brotherhood. I am merely a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore- figs… (Am 7:14-15)

亞毛斯先知 The sin of Judah: Despised YHWH’s Law and not kept his commandments.
