FINALISE YOUR PORTFOLIO [Dear Students, These slides was prepared based on CE1201 Handbook (Latest) given to you at the beginning of Semester. Please read the Handbook again. Good Luck. Mr. Munir]

COMPLETED & SIGNED ASSIGNMENT BRIEF (For RESIT) (Make sure all pages of assignment brief are there)

TABLE OF CONTENTS ( Include page numbers for all pages of Task A, B, C,D, E, F)

Task A: Reflection & Personal Development [LO12] For this assessment task you are required to submit the following: 1 a Reflective Initial position Statement using SWOT analysis (wk1 self study task 1.5) 2 a Personal Risk Assessment (wk3 self study task 3.6) 3 an initial skills audit and Initial module PDP (see section 1.2) 4 a Final Personal Reflective Statement of achievement against Learning Outcomes of the Module (750 words max). See self study tasks11.6 & a final PDP - start with the module PDP and update for your current (wk12) ability and make plan for next semester (see self study task 11.8) (Refer to your Handbook for Self Study tasks details)

Task B: Team Project [LO's 5, 9 & 11]: [For RESIT, You can complete this section based on Any Team work of any module (i.e. Lab work or case study in a Team) you had completed during this semester can be considered. Paper copies of project plan, presentation slides and team minutes to be submitted as part of portfolio]

Task C: Laboratory Report [LO's 1, 6, 7 & 10] [a paper copy of laboratory report is to be submitted as part of portfolio] For this assessment task you are required to write and submit a Complete Laboratory report, to demonstrate LO ‟ s 1, 6, 7 & 10 and Submit your report to TurnItIn (Go to- for submission)

Task D: TurnItIn Evaluation & Academic Integrity Quiz [LO3] For this assessment task include the following in Task D section of your portfolio: 1 Certificate of passing Academic Integrity Quiz 2 Evaluation of Laboratory report TurnItIn report and copy of originality report 3 Evaluation of Final Reflective Statement TurnItIn report and copy of originality report 4 Evaluation of Annotated Bibliography TurnItIn report and copy of originality report

Task E: Accurate, Meaningful Note Taking [LO8] For this assessment task include the following in your Task E section of your portfolio: 1 Your logbook: To aid you in this task you are required to make notes in your LOGBOOK from many of the weekly tutorial and self study activities. It is essential that you ensure entries in logbook are clear, legible and relate to topic being discussed 2 Your Laboratory Book entries: Ideally this should be in the form of a laboratory book, however as only one laboratory class is to be performed, loose sheets will be accepted providing they are stapled together and numbered sequentially. [Requirements for a laboratory book are given on page xvii] 3 Copies of your Research notes: Ideally these should be dated, include notes of resources you are using

Task F: Annotated Bibliography [LO2 & LO4] [Paper copy to be submitted as part of portfolio] For this assessment task you are required to submit anannotated bibliography of at least 10 reliable academic resources used during your studies for this module. You should include at least two resources from each of the following paper books paper journals/proceedings e-journal from ICE virtual library/UEL plus e-journals/technical reports accessed through science direct/UELplus e-journals/technical reports accessed through Construction Information Service /UEL plus

Portfolio Presentation The portfolio MUST be submitted as follows: In an A4 RING BOUND folder (NOT Lever Arch) Clear plastic wallets MUST NOT be used Work must be divided in to correct sections Sections dividers should be used and labelled accordingly CD or USB of evidence A CD or USB containing all sections of assessment must be inserted into an envelope, that is hole punched and included with your portfolio submission. Ensure that the CD is clearly labelled with your Student Number, and the files are labelled in a clear logical manner

TurnItIn: You must submit printed Turn-It-In Originality reports with your Portfolio. Please sign in/enroll in CE1201-RESIT class at Use Class ID: Password: uel1201 Please use your full name (the name in Class list). Do not use nick names or other names.
