Humane Society I have been to the Humane Society several times this semester. I love animals, especially dogs, so it is a joy to work with them and make them feel loved. I washed them, took the dogs on walks, and brushed them.

Relay for Life I was on the Zeta Tau Alpha team for Relay for Life. Our tent had a ping pong table, cotton candy, and coke zero. This was a big event on the front lawn of VSU that raised money for cancer research. It was in memory of those who did and did not survive cancer.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Time Out This is a clinic where people with Alzheimers go to give their families a break. It is a lot of hard work taking care of someone with this disease, because they need constant care and attention. This clinic gives them the opportunity to rest or run errands, all of which they would not be able to do while taking care of their loved one. While I was there, I did arts and crafts with them and played bingo.
The Haven The Haven is for battered and abused women and their children. These women flee their homes where they are being abused and come to the Haven for help and support. At the Haven, women and children are given clothes, food, and shelter until they can get back on their feet and receive the help that they need. While I was there, I cleaned out the donation house and did some office work to make the workers load less.
