Leontina Arditi

Full Name : Leontina Samuilova (Arditi) Stoyanova Birth Place & Date : Born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1929 Leontina Arditi was the only child to her parents Samuil Moisey Arditi, born in Belogradchik in 1902, and Mariika Samuil Arditi, born in 1906 in Sofia. Leontina’s family had very little money but tried to give her whatever she wanted anyways. Leontina was a professional violinist, but dropped that to become a famous actress. She is one of the first women to perform a one-woman performance. Leontina also has another talent which is writing. She wrote an autobiography titled ‘”Sahraneni Broenitsi”.

Bogdan Filov was the leader of Bulgaria during the 1940’s. He was a very effective leader throughout this time period. During this time Bulgaria was involved in both of the World Wars. These wars left the country in poverty, also the people had to recover from the torture they went through for being Jews. This is a photograph of the soldiers who fought in the world wars.

This is a picture of Bulgaria’s currency in the 1940’s. Bulgaria had a stable economy during the 1940’s until the second world war. This war caused the economy to slightly crash. Bulgaria, for a period of time, became a merchant based economy, because of the economic downfall.

Leontina Arditi was Born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1929 Leontina married Dilo Arditi in the late 1950’s. Leontina played her first acting role in 1952 after graduating from a performing arts college. Leontinas’ first child Tanya was born in Tanya developed a serious cardiac malfunction Leontinas’ granddaughters, Leontina and Maria, the twins, were born on October 13 th, 1982.
