Goal Setting (Take Notes: File in Academics) “A goal properly set is halfway reached.”-Abraham Lincoln

Today’s Goal Learn the 5 rules to goal setting and how to write a SMART goal

Never Have I Ever… Each player holds out all ten of your fingers and places them on the desk. One by one, each person announces something that they have never done; for example, “Never have I ever been to Canada.” For each statement, all the other players remove a finger if they have done that statement. – –So, if three other people have been to Canada before, those three people must put down a finger, leaving them with nine fingers. The goal is to stay in the game the longest (to have fingers remaining). – –A good strategy to say statements that most people have done, but you haven’t. This can be humorous (e.g. “Never have I ever skipped a class in school” or “Never have I ever soiled my pants.”)

Why Set Goals In order to succeed, it is necessary to set goals. –Define goal and outcome=success Without goals, focus and direction is lost! Take control of life's direction! Provides a benchmark for determining success. “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”- Anthony Robbins Anthony Robbins VideoAnthony Robbins Video

Rule #5: Stick With It! Build in reminders to keep on track and remember to review goals continuously. Use your planner!
