WHAT’S AT STAKE Work around machinery, vehicles, etc. Could be caught in a tight spot Workers are killed or seriously injured

WHAT’S THE DANGER “Caught between” Between two moving objects Between a moving object and a stationary object Compression and crushing injuries Pinchpoints

EXAMPLE Two moving objects: Chain and sprocket Set of gears Rollers on a press Moving object and a stationary object: Truck and a loading dock Hand in a vehicle door

EXAMPLE Disabling injury Body can be dragged, killing the worker Manufacturing machines Heavy equipment used in construction Mechanical repair vehicles
