Barack Obama Barack Obama, a 47 year old. First term senator from Illinois. Shattered more than 200 years of history Tuesday night. By winning election as a the first African- American president of the United States. Barack Obama is making history as the nation celebrates Black month but not just as a black man getting this far in the run for the White House.

Elijah McCoy Elijah McCoy did his first invention, a lubricating cup was used in steam cylinder of the trains and other machinery.
