Beverly Cleary By: Madison and Trent

Childhood Born April,12,1916 in Mcminnville,Orgon. Until she was old enough to attend school, lived on a farm in Yamhill, a town so small it had no library. In 1940 she married Clarance.T.

Family However, when the family moved to Portland, Beverly soon found herself in the grammar low reading circle, an experience has given her sympathy for the problems of struggling readers.

Schooling Before long her school librarian was suggesting that she should write for boys and girls when she grew up. Went to an Educated colleges in California and Washington.

Writing start She named characters names from people she knows. Her librarian told her to write interesting books for the kids.
